Rodriguez Family

Project Joy & Hope has been a Godsend for my family and me. My husband and I found out that our unborn son was diagnosed with a right sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia (RCDH). We had no idea where to even start when looking at places to relocate. We knew we would be relocating to Houston after finding the right provider, but where would we stay for 3-4 months? We couldn't afford to pay for an Airbnb, essentially adding another mortgage, on top of mounting hospital bills, that were looming over us. We have a large family and would have help from our parents with our toddler, while I gave birth and was postpartum.

Project Joy & Hope was the perfect option, with three bedrooms and two baths, I knew this would be perfect for us and our needs. It's a safe space, minutes away from any shops, stores, grocery stores you could want. There are daycares nearby if needed, not to mention the campus has a beautiful playground on site.

The units are fully furnished! We also spent our time there throughout all the holidays, they even thought about leaving a Christmas tree for us. There are so many little details throughout that really just make your hard time there so much easier.

On top of all these great things, people and businesses from the community really pitch in to help in any way that they can. I've been so grateful for an option like Project Joy & Hope. You never imagine that you will need help like this, until you do... and I'm so glad that organizations such as this exist to help those in a difficult time. Thank you to Project Joy & Hope!!
