At our 20 week anatomy scan in November, we learned our unborn baby had spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Our world was flipped upside down and the unknown was incredibly scary. We were sent to a specialist who then referred us to the Fetal Center in Houston. At our consultation, we were told we would need to be in Houston for weekly check ups beginning at 32 weeks until birth and then we would have a stay in the NICU. With a two year old son, we didn’t know where we would stay during our time in Houston that would be accommodating for all of us and financially affordable. We were referred to Project Joy and Hope and knew this would be such a blessing for our family. We are so grateful for this place and everything it has provided for us. The people and volunteers have been so kind and helpful. The activities they provided for our son have been so amazing and he has had so much fun. Not only did they provide things to do while we were here, but also helped us find an appropriate Mother’s Day out program for him to attend while staying in Houston. He absolutely loved it and it was so good for him. We are forever grateful for PJH and everyone we have come to know and love during our stay.
Thank you again for everything. We will never be able to thank you enough. You are such a blessing! ❤️
