Project Joy and Hope,
When my daughter was diagnosed with HLHS, a congenital heart disease, we knew we were in for a lifetime of hospitals and medical procedures. After her first heart surgery, we needed a place in the Houston area for our whole family to be able to stay together and have somewhat of a normal routine. For the last 3 months, Project Joy & Hope allowed me and my family to stay together without burdening us financially. Without your aid, I don't know how my family would have made it through my daughter's 2 open heart surgeries. Being able to not have to worry about where to stay and how much money it will take away from other obligations has allowed us to focus on Mackenzie and her health, the most important thing. Thank you for your generosity in providing for my family a safe and comfortable home for us to ride out Mackenzie's medical journey. You have allowed us to not have to worry about the little things so that we could focus on the most important one, family.
