Jan, Chris and Everyone at Project Joy & Hope,
I know this letter comes late but I want to say thank you for all you did for my family while were were in the Houston area.
Going into Parker's bone marrow transplant, I was scared. Never having gone through anything quite so difficult I was worried about the entire process and recovery. That is where you stepped in. Knowing that I had a safe, secure place to stay that I could afford while we were in Houston took an enormous burden off my shoulders. The home was so very comfortable and furnished wonderfully. The interaction with you all at Project Joy & Hope was always very personable and comfortable. The care you showed for our family will never be forgotten! We are still travelling to Houston monthly, and I can't make the trip without thinking of our "home" on Tulip street. We were only there for 4-5 short months, but we made memories there that we hold dear to our hearts, that we were treasure forever. It is the home where my sweet Parker recovered from his life saving transplant and I will never forget it. My husband who was at home in Arkansas over 900 miles away, felt peace and comfort knowing that I had a safe place to call home while he couldn't be with me. Thank you for all the work you do that made it possible for me to focus all my attention on Parker. And thank you to all of your donors and supporters. You all made what was one of the toughest times of our lives, comfortable and we actually enjoyed ourselves because of the safety and security we felt while staying at Tulip Street.
From our family, who we are so grateful and happy to have all back together, thank you and Merry Christmas!
Stephanie and Parker Eiland
